Women Offshore Inclusion Summit (Central Daylight Time)

Join us in person in Houston or online!

Are you looking to create lasting change at your company to reduce the gender gap? If so, we want to help you get there!

It’s not enough to simply tell women+ to work hard and that they will succeed. Often, the systems in place at organizations are biased by design. Organizations must be inclusive of different experiences and backgrounds, understanding the challenges women+ face and how to remove career obstacles. During this one-day virtual event, join Women Offshore and subject matter experts who know what it takes to eliminate systemic barriers in offshore environments.

Attend in person in Houston or online! Virtual attendees will receive access to the platform via email. Conference link: https://womenoffshore.org/women-offshore-inclusion-summit-2023/

'Hood and Holler: Similarities and Differences in Urban and Rural Community Development

The field of Community Development is fragmented by many disciplinary homes, areas of specialization, and geographic emphases. By convening around shared visions of community quality of life, health, resilience, justice, and sustainability, we can find new ways to enhance the community development ecosystem and industry. Systemic improvement is sought through cross-pollination among activists, practitioners, and scholars; across numerous types of expertise in community building, community development, and community economic development; and across civic, public, nonprofit, and private sectors.

The 2023 conference theme, ‘Hood and Holler: Similarities and Differences in Urban and Rural Community Development, provides an exciting opportunity for this type of exchange and mutual learning. We seek to lift up histories of economic exploitation and disinvestment, cultural and institutional marginalization, and structural power differentials that shape urban and rural communities alike.
